More trailer inspirations

This trailer was very influential during our filming as the plot is similar to our trailer. Many shots and scenes are also similar to our vision as a lot of suspense and fear is created within the build up of the characters getting caught by the mysterious slasher.

The bathroom scene where the female protagonist is drying her hair in front of the mirror was very influential and will be reciprocated in our trailer.

The start of the trailer which includes a very fast establishing shot of the school is also similar to what our trailer will contain as it is set in a school.

Fast shots towards the end of the trailer is extremely effective as it creates suspence which is also aided by the oscillating sound to emphasise this.

Trailer diary: BEHIND THE SCENE

BASEMENT SCENE

Filming basement scene where Freddy has the victims locked and beaten.

We used this trolley found in the basement and decided to use it as a dolly for one of our shots.

The camera is placed flat on the top of the trolley whilst the camera man slowly pushed it, following Freddy's movement.

Here is a better view of the camera on the side of the room which Freddy will slowly walk past with a hockey stick.

Here, Freddy is walking down the staircase past the caged room which the dolly will track his movement to create a sense of fear as his face will not be visible.

EDITING

This is Jerome using GarageBand and playing with the sound effects as they will be needed during the process of editing. As GarageBand has over 500 sounds, it took us a long time to get through them all and find the correct sound that fits in with the shots. Sound effects and music will play a vital role in our trailer as it will aid the audience's emotions and create suspense- which any good slasher trailer should do.
